“城市”是有识血肉一族世世代代的政治经济文化之中心，是最高领袖伟大母亲的所在，历史悠久。城中清幽静谧，生机勃勃，居民儒雅谦和，热情好客。今天，就请跟随我们M.E.G.外交部有识血肉民风考察团的脚步，一同走进“大老妈颠勺”大赛举办期间，有识血肉技工氏族为胜者举行庆功宴所做的特色菜品——母息烧的制作流程。
作为一年一度的盛大宴会招牌主菜，母息烧工序并不复杂，但用料极为考究。早在比赛正式开始时准备工作便已紧锣密鼓地展开。我们的老朋友，“肌肉老哥”金鱼是这一次烹饪行动的总指挥。
作为连续几年的大会举办总指挥兼首席厨师，金鱼以他无可挑剔的技术和一丝不苟的态度深受伟大母亲的信任，闻到他周围自信满满的气味信息素想必这一次也能圆满完成任务。
伴随伟大母亲散气时传来的剧烈热浪，寂静的城市逐渐恢复活跃，金鱼一秒不耽搁急匆匆向城市上层赶去，在这里，身为气候观测员的“千里眼”已恭候多时，千里眼的名字代代相传，不仅象征着崇高的地位更象征着这位技师氏族作为气候观测员的责任。
无需多言，随着触须飞舞数十只仰望星空迅速飞上咖啡云卷组成的巨大漩涡而千里眼则为这些仰望星空指明位置。将生长的最旺盛，几乎快要凝结成液体的咖啡云卷一一吸走，直到每只工具都膨胀饱满才将他们交付于金鱼之手，感受到手中充沛的质量，全鱼露出满意的笑容。
接下来要去的地方是城外农田区，由于摄像设备较为贵重制作组只能通过管道蠕动的方式前往，而金鱼已经先通过喷射的方式飞跃到农田区附近。
因此让我们把目光投向另一边由“指骨兄长”Mr.2带领的战士氏族小分队，已经悄无声息的潜伏到一处死亡飞蛾巢穴前——新鲜宰杀的死亡飞蛾酸腺在适当中和并兑淡之后是上好的调味料，但只有最优秀的猎人才能在毫发无伤的情况下将这些资源夺到手中，不过嗅到Mr.2充满自信的信息素，相信他对这次任务志在必得。
利落的攻击，两只死亡飞蛾应声而落，在其他飞蛾赶来之前小分队便迅速离去——食物就如自然中的其他资源，必须有节制的采摘才能吃的久远，死亡飞蛾仅仅作为调料与点缀自然不需要猎杀太多，两只便足够。
当摄影组来到城外农田区时金鱼已经将饱满的咖啡云卷交给附近的农业核心们，这些庞大的学者氏族直接将自己扎根于农田，每一天都在计算着能让植物生长的最优光学配比，然后命令这些叶子转到对应的方向，将C307原本并不充足的能源每一分每一毫都精细而完美的利用起来。
今日大量灌注的咖啡云卷则是为食物添加的一次大餐，丰富而易于转化的气态分子链直接灌入膜密封好的植物中，这些植物将会在2~3天内完全吸收这些咖啡云卷中的有机物，并将它们转化为可供细胞吸收的淀粉，下方的固氮菌则会生产出足够多的蛋白质，而这些养分会在后续的处理过程中重新被拆解成肌卫星细胞能直接吸收的小分子营养物质。
在另一边战士氏族的营地之中，外出狩猎的战士们为营地贡献着最优质的实体。尽管有识血肉们并没有直接食用实体的习惯，但为了参赛探索者们的饮食考虑，实体的血肉也成为这次大餐中必不可少的环节。
除了之前由Mr.2带队去猎杀死亡飞蛾的小队之外，另外几只小队也纷纷上交他们的战利品——首先是远赴level C-307的采集者小队，作为为数不多气候温暖湿润的层级，这片区域生长着大量的椰子树，椰饵在这片层级发展壮大，食用椰子长大的实体肉质鲜嫩且带有一股椰子的清香味，不需要多少处理就足以成为出色的佳肴。
而贸易单元带来的则是Level C-45的聚落所饲养的同心虫与聚合体，这些动物虽然吞食腐肉与污秽，长出的肉质却格外鲜美，只是需要一段时间来好好料理才能真正发挥出食物最完美的特性。
非常出色的食物，即使站在一定距离之外也能闻到金鱼身上代表高兴的信息素香气，接下来这些食物会被送到技师氏族的聚集地进行妥善料理，摄影师也随之跟进，可以看到这些技工氏族显然是专门为制作而生，如同海百合一般的手臂上每一根触须都是灵敏而有力的操作肢体，为了对肉才进行妥善处理他们早早的就换上了附带振翅肥肌的刀刃。
这些高频震荡的餐刀会快速剔除污秽并将肉块轻松切开，放入永恒香和死亡飞蛾的鳞粉、酸腺，加上食盐和精心培育的香料再用新鲜采集的杏仁水腌泡入味，剩下的便交给时间。经过一天一夜的入味之后，这些食物将被穿起作为母息烧的主料。
镜头转向最后一位食材，也是这里的明星，一只年迈的Nguithr'xurh。自从数年前被有时血肉成功驯化后便一直在为有识血肉的主菜提供其分泌的毒液。这一些毒液本就有镇定麻痹的作用，在经过适当的调配之后不仅不会让人感到困倦，反而能起到轻微的放松，这对于刚刚结束漫长旅途的比赛成员来说是极其友好的。
但是这一过程的配比却是极其麻烦，稍有偏差便会让人从感到放松变成当场困倦睡着，而采摘的过程也同样不能大意，不过金鱼作为总管早已深暗此道。只见他轻车熟路的从蛛网上摘下一枚成熟的毒液球往生长好的真皮质囊中一挤，危险实体用于狩猎的剧毒之物此时却被把玩于手指之间。
另一边生长完成的植物已经贡献全部养分，这些养分流过蠕动的腔道涌入正在培育肉类的子宫之中，在浑浊的营养液中肌卫星细胞依靠早已预设完毕的胶原质骨架，自由自在的生长着。所使用的是早在无机物文明时代便遗留下来的最精致的配比，一代又一代出色的美食学者们将这些肉块进行一次次重新设计。
脂肪与肌肉近乎完美的结合，既不会让口感身材干瘦又没有因太过肥厚而感到油腻，而小段交叉网状肉的独特设计保证肉质在炙烤过程中仍然能保持造型不会松散，但在咬入后却又没有足以卡入牙缝的肉丝。
再配上早早处理的实体肉块，既蕴含着有识血肉独有的特色却又同时包含了后世这片土地上撇不开的风味，正如来到此处的有识血肉们一般，他们既保留了自己一直以来的习俗与风格，却又在这片奇异的土地上做出了属于自己的改变。
做菜的厨师热火朝天，吃饭的客人们自然也是兴致高涨，随着冠军完成比赛领到属于自己的奖励，整个营地再次热闹起来。
战士们久违的从自己房间中取出味觉与嗅觉系统，主食是营养液的他们早就放弃了这些浪费资源的东西但在这样重大的时刻显然有必要将嘴装回来饱尝美味。在技师氏族的帮助下每个战士都在调整着自己安上的全新系统。
不同的敏感度会带来对味觉完全不一样的解析，一直以来调整敏感度都是战士们饱尝美味时的一门手艺，平日看似五大三粗的战士氏族如今却在仔细研究着该如何调整来得到最完美的美食体验。
而这一切都在冠军到达的第3天达到高潮，宴会开始的标志是伟大母亲的散热孔轰然打开，裹挟着巨大热量的废气流喷涌而出，以金鱼为首的早已准备完成的厨师们，身着几丁质甲壳隔绝热量利用这份伟大母亲的呼吸烹饪炙烤着、烹饪着。
与食材一同感受火候，正是这些厨师对火寇最精准把握的秘诀，甲壳上的神经束能让他们切身体会到火焰的温度，连接食材的神经纤维更是能让他们随时掌控每一分变化，腺体上分泌出的芳香烃与提前撒入的调料共同铸就着独特的口感，最终随着伟大母亲的吐息渐渐回归平静，热气腾腾的食物也就此端上餐桌。
